Climério Silva Neto is associate professor of physics and history and philosophy of science at the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil, serving as co-editor-in-chief of Physics in Perspective. His research on the history of science in the Soviet Union and Brazil uses material culture to explore themes such as the history of quantum foundations, internationalism, science diplomacy, development, and the epistemic significance of diversity.
Additionally, he is currently serving in the following roles:
Deputy Head of the General Physics Department
Communication director of the Inter-Union for the History and Philosophy of Physics (IUPAP/IUHPST),
Chair of the organizing committees for the 6th Early-Career Conference for Historians of the Physical Sciences and the UN Global Event on the History of Quantum Physics (HQ5),
Co-organizer of the DHST Early Career Scholars Workshop Series, with Barbara Hof.
